Advanced Leader Course (ALC)
ALC Scope
Culinary Specialist Advance Leaders Course (ALC) incorporates the Army Learning Model (ALM) supporting outcomes-based methodology. It integrates 21st Century Soldier Competencies into learning content and converts most classroom experiences into collaborative problem-solving events led by facilitators (vice instructors) who engage learners to think and understand the relevance and context of what they learn. Technical training consists of five modules that include training on the Army Food Management Information System, Applied Food Service Operations, Nutrition, Army Field Feeding Operations and ServSafe.
Outcomes
At the completion of the course, Sergeants/Staff Sergeants will fully understand and demonstrate proficiency in the 21st Soldier competencies appropriate to their level; will be able to demonstrate to his/her subordinates the tactical and technical mastery of 92G30, capable of operating with tactical efficiency within Army Doctrine as a Squad/Section Leader within a platoon as part of a combined arms element; will be aware of their role as a member of the Army Profession and able to apply those ideas through the application of leadership using Army values and ethics; capable of applying the four Attributes: lead, train & educate; care for Soldiers & equipment; and maintain & enforce standards; capable of adaptive and critical thinking; and are able to communicate (orally or written) or take appropriate action. Sergeants/Staff Sergeants will also be able demonstrate their ability to perform MOS 92G Dining Facility Administration and Field Feeding Operations as an Advance Culinary NCO or Culinary Management NCO, to include safety, and environmental stewardship protection considerations.
Senior Leader Course (SLC)
SLC Scope
This course incorporates the Army Learning Model (ALM) supporting outcomes-based methodology. It integrates 21st Century Soldier Competencies into learning content and converts most classroom experiences into learner centric, collaborative problem-solving events led by facilitators. Training focuses on Food Service Contract Management, Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS), and Healthy Cooking Principles of Nutrition.
Outcomes
Provides the Army with adaptive leaders who are confident and prepared to perform their training and wartime missions whenever needed in any strategic, operational, or tactical environment. The NCO will fully understand and be able to demonstrate proficiency in the 21st Century Soldier competencies appropriate to his/her level. The NCO will also be able to demonstrate their ability to perform MOS 92G duties as a Dining Facility Manager and Field Feeding Operations Senior Food Operations Sergeant to include Food Service Contract Management, Army Food Management Systems, applying Principles of Nutrition, Food Safety and developing Army Field Feeding SOP’s.
